Who is Zakari?

His childhood life has been rough, tough and intimidating because he comes from a poor background with no opportunity.

He engaged in working in a mechanic garage so he could support in raising funds for his parents to afford him a education, and studied science in secondary school.

After secondary education he couldn’t watch his parents suffer and for that reason he traveled to Lagos to look for how to help his family with their needs which has been a struggling point for him.

Zakari reached to get a job as a chef and everything went fine until Covid-19 came. From then he tries to find every day a way to live, while his dreams are always in the kitchen.

He’s a fast thinker and a good team player, and his humanistic perspective makes easy for him to connect with people.

In his spare time, he loves reading, networking and watching cooking shows.

Zakari's Present and Future

The HELP program consists of three phases:

Phase one, which lasts for 12 months, is divided into 7 stages, where each Homeless Entrepreneur (HE) is assigned a coordinator and nine managers (covering the following areas: professional development, education, health, housing, finance, legal, communication, sales and general assistance).

A wheel of life is a simple yet powerful tool for visualizing all of the areas of a Homeless Entrepreneur’s life. We will provide insight on the individual’s perception regarding his or her life at the very beginning of the HELP program, while he or she progress as well as define the person’s goal.
