Health Department

Being healthy allows an individual, regardless of his or her housing status, to be an active, working citizen, who contributes to make her/himself, her/his environment, and those connected with it, better.

According to Health at a Glance: Europe 2018, "poor Europeans are on average five times more likely to have problems accessing health care," which is why our health department plays such a key role in providing general stability for the homeless people in our HELP program.

On our journey to ending homelessness and situational poverty, we focus on helping homeless people attain and maintain a healthy lifestyle instead of being treated on an emergency basis in order to ensure they have access to health care.

Our department’s goal is for the homeless people, who go through our programs, to thrive instead of just survive.
