From 14 - 18 July 2026, The World Cup Great Walk will take place because We are 26 to End Homelessness!
* Gathering Ideas & Giving a Voice to the homeless community and its support network.
* Community building and engagement through conversations and events.
* Fundraising and Tangible Social Impact through our main programs: Helpline, Voices & HELP program: Providing Empowerment-based solutions to homeless community in the host countries (United States, Canada and Mexico) as well as the other 45 countries participating in the FIFA World Cup.
Route:
Starting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) and finishing at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ (near New York City).
Highlights
Independence Mall: Grounds the walk in universal rights, civic responsibility, and the idea that a community’s strength comes from active citizenship.
Camden Waterfront: Acknowledge hardship in urban hubs while highlighting support network that uplifts the homeless community.
Trenton/Princeton corridor: Tie in policy, advocacy, and the systemic changes needed to reduce homelessness while emphasizing collaboration between corporate, government, nonprofits, and the public.
Edison/Meadowlands area: Spotlight education, training, and employment pathways; show that rebuilding lives is possible with access to opportunity.
Secaucus/Meadowlands toward MetLife: Convey transition, dignity, and inclusivity, culminating in an international-stage venue where the message inspires the world.

Q: Can you tell us, with your words, WHY Homeless Entrepreneur leads this walk?
A: We are doing this walk to give 150 million people made of potential experiencing homelessness in the world a voice and presence in the United States while promoting “We are 26 to End Homelessness.” Our walk is a conscious act of inclusion to inspire government, corporations and civic society to include the homeless community and provide them with empowerment based solutions. Each Great Walk will end homelessness for at least one of the participants in our HELP program and raise funds to do the same for current and future beneficiaries in our main programs: Helpline, Voices and HELP program.
*All of the lead Great Walkers have experienced homelessness or social exclusion, or are currently supporting Homeless Entrepreneur beneficiaries.
Q: What kind of volunteers are needed?
A: Please see most common volunteer profiles below:
Walkers: Volunteers are invited to join us in the walk! They can join us for 1 hour, 1 day, a few days or the entire 150 km!
Fundraisers: Help us raise funds to end homelessness for beneficiaries in our main programs thanks to The World Cup Great Walk!
Team Support: Help us develop The World Cup Great Walk project as a volunteer team member, which will allow you to get involved in the operations and weekly meetings!
Promotors: Spread the word in your social media and get the press involved!
Connectors: Connect us with individuals and companies who would like to support The World Cup Great Walk!
