Our community aims to complement the traditional internships, study abroad programs and classes by connecting the university community to the homeless community, which ultimately reduces the information gaps and allows solutions to be co-created instead of designed unilaterally.

We have developed 4 main programs to foster real opportunities towards sustainable work and dignified housing. The first program, our Homeless Helpline, is an outreach program that helps us identify potential #HomelessEntrepreneurs. All of the homeless people who participate in this program are eligible for the other three: Homeless Voices, HELP and the Housing program.

The Homeless Voices program allows homeless people from around the world, who want to tell their story and be active, working citizens, to receive our communication and network support even if they aren’t in our HELP program.

The holistic one-year HELP (Homeless Entrepreneur Learning Protocol) program provides a team of 9 managers, who guide the selected #HomelessEntrepreneur(s) through the process of entering the professional world and society again. The main areas that are developed are professional development, health, education, housing, finance, legal, comunication and sales. All of the #HomelessEntrepreneurs also receive the support of a mentor.

Lastly, all of the #HomelessEntrepreneur(s) are eligible to enter our social housing program called #HomelessHostelsWork and the average stay should be between 3-6 months, which allows them enough time to get a job and start saving up, so they can gain independence by renting their own room and continuing with their process.

We firmly believe in lean design and thinking, which is how we have been able to reduce the cost of sponsoring a #HomelessEntrepreneur’s one year HELP program from 10,000€ initially to only 3,080€!

Regarding university community member donors, we have identified different types of donor plans to adapt to our community that start from 8 euros per month, which is a symbolic amount that allows anyone to contribute to our growth and sustainability from students to senior university management.
